<br />~ <br />""" <br />, <br />" , <br /> JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made this 12th day of January <br /> , <br /> 1976, by and between the City of New Brighton, hereinafter called the City, <br /> and Independent School District No. 621, hereinafter called the School District. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the School District owns and operates Highview Junior High <br /> School in the City of New Brighton, which annually during the winter months <br /> . <br /> has an ice skating rink, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the parties to this Agreement to <br /> cooperate for the purpose of extending and expanding the times during <br /> which such ice skating rink is capable of use and enjoyment by pupils <br /> of sa id school, the citizens of the School District, including the citizens <br /> of New Brighton. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties as follows: <br /> 1 . The School District will construct and maintain as it has <br /> in the past (except as noted in #9) an ice skating rink <br /> on the premises of Highview Junior High School in the <br /> City of New Brighton at its own expense. <br /> 2 . The School District shall provide a suitable internal warming <br /> facility for skaters and will provide protective covering for <br /> the floor of such warming area and will provide shatterproof <br /> glass for the doors providing access to such warming area. <br /> I <br />
