RESOLUTION NO. 1842 <br /> ~ STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION <br /> FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 75. <br /> WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit No. 75 <br /> has been made to the City and said application has been <br /> processed, reviewed by the Planning Commission and considered <br /> by the Council at a public hearing, and <br /> WHEREAS, the property at 854 5th Avenue NW is a building <br /> of multiple occupancy having both shared and individual <br /> entrances within the meaning of the term as defined in the <br /> sign ordinance, and <br /> I <br /> . <br /> WHEREAS, the New Brighton Sign Ordinance states that <br /> buildings of multiple occupancy having both individual entrances <br /> and shared entrances shall be processed as areas of special <br /> control for purposes of sign regulation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the New Brighton Sign OrdDance states that I <br /> ~ <br /> in areas of special control, the City Council may establish <br /> special sign regulations by special permit, and <br /> WHEREAS, the regulations in areas of special control <br /> most appropriate to the property at 854 5th Avenue NW are <br /> those regulating shopping centers, <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the <br /> City of New Brighton that the following Findings of Fact are <br /> made in respect to SP-75: <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> 1. That an application for SP-75 was filed with the City on <br /> September 16, 1976~ <br /> 2. That the application met the technical requirements for <br /> consideration by the City~ <br /> 3. That the Planning Commission considered the application <br /> at its regular meeting held on September 21, 1976 and <br /> October 19, 1976~ <br /> 4. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed <br /> notice, held a public hearing on November 9, 1976 to <br /> consider the application~ <br /> 5. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, , <br /> the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations, and ~ <br /> all persons' statements made at the public hearing were , <br /> ~ <br /> considered including the statements of the applicant. i <br /> ; <br /> r <br />
