<br /> - <br /> . <br /> 1 <br /> ..I' , <br />-' ~ ~ .. .) <br />. <br />, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2047 <br /> 'I STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> ./' <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHlON <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SPECIAL USE <br /> PERMIT APPLICATION, SP-79 <br /> WHEREAS an application for a special use permit SP-79 <br /> has been made by Keith Harstad for signing at 2191-2199 Silver <br /> Lake Rea d , and <br /> WHEREAS the procedural history of the application is as <br /> follows: <br /> l. That an application for a special use permit SP-79 <br /> was filed with the City on April 13, 1978; <br /> 2. That the Board of Review heard and reviewed the <br /> application at its meeting of April 18, 1978: <br /> 3. That the City Council, pursuant to published and <br /> mailed notices, held a public hearing on May 9, 1978 <br /> to consider the application. All persons present <br /> at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. <br /> 4. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, <br /> the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations <br /> and all person's statements made at the public hearing <br /> were considered. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br /> New Brighton, that the following findings of fact are made in <br /> respect to SP-79: <br /> l. That general purpose of the sign ordinance is to <br /> promote sound identification, reduction of clutter <br /> and aesthetic enhancement: <br /> 2. That the building design and location create a <br /> situation where signing must be handled sensitively: <br /> 3. That wall and window signs would not be consistent <br /> with the general purposes of the sign ordinance: <br /> 4. That a single ground sign as proposed would provide <br /> sound identification and would be compatible with the <br /> general area. <br /> 4 <br /> ' ' . <br /> ", I <br />
