Public Hearing: SP2008-013 Special Use Permit to allow erection of a 125' cell tower at 1565 1" Avenue NW The applicant is requesting consideration of a Special Use Permit to allow construction of a 125' cellular tower in the rear yard of the property located at 1565 1" Avenue NW, known as the Mission Foods property. In accordance with Section 4-600 of the Zoning Code, all telecommunication towers/antenna are specially permitted uses in all districts. In addition, a 10' lightning rod will be constructed at the top of the tower for a combined height of 135'. A fenced -in equipment shelter will be built at grade and the total height of the tower will be such that two additional users could be accommodated. The applicant has been working with Community Development staff for several months concerning a possible site to accommodate this tower. This request would accommodate relocation of the existing tower within the Northwest Quadrant.
