RESOLUTION NO. 93-030 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE 900 LONG CAKE ROAD PAD SITE AS AN AREA OF <br />SPECIAL CONTROL AND APPROVING SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP -174. <br />WHEREAS, an application for SP -174 has been made by Opus Corporation to <br />establish a sign pian; and <br />WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: <br />1. An application for a Special Use Permit, SP. 174, was filed with the City <br />of New Brighton on January 24, 1993. <br />2. The Planning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held <br />a public hearing on February 16, 1993, and all persons present at the <br />hearing were given an opportunity to be heard. <br />3. The City Council considered SP -174 at its February 23, 1993, meeting. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Planning Commission makes the <br />following Findings of Fact in respect to SP -174: <br />• 1. 900 Long Lake Road, the subject property, is located within <br />Development District #1 and T.I.F. District #6, and therefore, is a <br />redevelopment area within the meaning of the term as defined in Section <br />9-150(b)(3); and <br />2. The New Brighton Sign Ordinance states that redevelopment areas may <br />be designated as areas of Special Control for purposes of regulation, and <br />this Resolution designates the subject site as an area of Special Control; <br />and <br />3. The New Brighton Sign Ordinance states that in areas of Special Control, <br />the City may establish special sign regulations by Special Use Permit; <br />and <br />4. The applicant has proposed a sign plan for the subject site and building <br />and said signage would comply with the Special Use standards found in <br />Section 9-150(d). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the area of Special Control be designated and the <br />application SP -174 is hereby approved and the attached text is hereby adopted as the sign <br />plan for 900 Long Lake Road. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of February, 1993. <br />oe Fine, Wf <br />&&A;k M • <br />David s, UtY M&n*gSr <br />ATTEST: <br />Margaret an, <br />Finance Director/City Clerk <br />(SEAL) <br />
