• Council Representative Doffing noted the need for public safety to interface with people <br />of other cultures. She recognized. Long Nguyen, who is also a member of the VIPS, for <br />his work with helping people by acting as an interpreter. Mr. Nguyen spoke briefly about <br />his joy in being able to help people this way. <br />• <br />The Public Safety Commission also recognizes Ms. Seraphine Ngang as a student <br />representative to the Public Safety Commission. Ms. Ngang attends Irondale High <br />School. She is originally from Cameroon and has been in the United States for 2 1/2years. <br />She is the first student representative for any City commission. <br />Adjourn <br />Commissioner Allen motioned to adjourn the September Public Safety Commission <br />meeting; Commissioner Elwell seconded.
