Specifically, the amendment <br />would allow inclusion of a ground sign in the front yard of 525 Main Street, abutting 5th <br />Avenue NW. The proposed sign consists of 30 SF in graphic area, 15' setback from the <br />property line, and 6'8" in total height. MOTION APPROVED. <br />Public Hearing: ZA2008-006 Zoning Code Amendment Impacting Section 11-020 (l ) <br />Regarding Vehicle Parking Surfaces <br />The City is requesting consideration of an amendment impacting Zoning Code Section <br />11-020 (1). This section of code pertains to allowed vehicle parking areas. The <br />amendment does not change the current requirement; rather it provides clarification as to <br />the intent. <br />The City's prosecuting attorney notified staff many months ago that the existing language <br />of Section 11-020 (1) was insufficient for prosecution. On very rare occasions, staff <br />issues a citation for vehicles parked on unimproved surfaces; or surfaces other than <br />concrete, bituminous, brick or decorative block. The intent of this amendment is to <br />verify what is allowed so if citations need to be written they can be adequately prosecuted <br />in court. <br />0 <br />
