Their goal is to have the dump <br />material all in-place or removed from the site as specified before next spring. Based on their experience to date <br />with the dump, we believe there will be an overrun of dump material which will have project cost implications. Veit <br />estimates they will have an additional 15,000 to 20,000 cubic yards of dump material more than the previously <br />estimated 205,000 cubic yards. This is a 10 percent overrun. The City has some options on dealing with the <br />dump material: <br />1. Keep the material onsite and fill higher than the 894-896 contours. This would raise the site grades <br />approximately 3 -feet. This option will cost $2.08 / CY <br />2. Raise the grade on the west side of the sanitary sewer (the east side of Block B) This option will cost <br />$2.08 / CY <br />3. Haul the material off-site. This option will cost - 20.00 / CY <br />4. A combination of all the first three options is possible. <br />This will be a topic of discussion at the January 13, 2008 work session. <br />Grant M.
