Ramsden [SRa-msden@barr.com] <br />Sent: Thursday, January 08, 2009 5:20 PM <br />To: Grant Wyffels <br />Cc: Sara Gaffin <br />Subject: Updated Liner Quantity and Cost Estimates <br />Grant: <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />As you requested this morning for the Council work session, I took a look at the additional liner quantities needed <br />to cover the southwest corner of Block B and the southeastern edges of Block B where we did not show dump in <br />the plan sheets, but where we now know that the dump extends to the Mn/DOT right of way. <br />Estimate of geomembrane and geocomposite needed - 33,750 sq ft (approx. 3/4 acre). Costs would be <br />$46,000 using Veit's bid prices. I think that $45,000 to $50,000 is a good estimate to share with the Council. <br />Additionally, I took a very quick look at what we could be looking at for increased geomembrane costs to key into <br />groundwater at the edge of the dump if the water table is low this spring. I came up with an estimated range of <br />between $30,000 and $60,000 depending on groundwater fluctuation. Again, we will have a better idea in the <br />spring. <br />I'll be out of the office tomorrow but in on Monday if you have any questions.
