February 10, 2009
Page 2
United States. In the past year alone we were able to assist our clients in securing over $300
million in client specific designated funding.
Our relationship with our clients often includes responsibility for all federal legislative
and regulatory issues that may affect them. In addition, we regularly submit federal relations
updates and draft federal public policy reports for client publications. We provide regular direct
communications with Congress and we schedule meetings with, federal policy makers at the
direction of our clients. I encourage you to contact anyone associated with any of our clients to
seek an appraisal of our services. I am confident you will find they see a true value in the
services we provide and recognition of the personalized nature of our representation.
The LGN Federal Relations Group strives to develop cost-effective, long-term
relationships with well satisfied clients. Our fee schedules are structured to meet specific client's
needs and to achieve maximum value for client's objectives. Upon acceptance and under the
direction of New Brighton officials, LGN would develop a specific all inclusive flat monthly fee
schedule tailored to meet the unique public policy needs of New Brighton. Based on discussions
and our understanding of New Brighton's representational requirements for the Northwest
Quadrant Project, we would propose a $48,000 one year contract with payments of $4,000 per
month over a 12 month period. We would bill all fees at a flat monthly rate and would provide
New Brighton officials detailed work summary sheets on a monthly basis. The final term and
fee schedule is entirely dependent upon your needs and objectives and must conform to New
Brighton's public policy program goals.
Again Dean, I thank you for giving us the opportunity and I look forward to discussing
these issues at your convenience. Please let me know if you need more information or if I may
ever be of assistance.
Very truly yours,
LOCKRIDGE GRINDAL NAUEN P.L.L.P.
Dennls M. McGrann
RCL/jmh
c: Robert C. Long
39079.1
