LoCKRIDGE <br />0 GRINDAL <br />NAUEN <br />P-L.L.P. <br />Attorneys at Law <br />Transportation/Infrastructure Client Successes (continued) <br />COMMUNITY WORKS PROJECT: Successfully obtained over $7,000,000 for the Community <br />Works project focusing on integrating transit and transportation alternatives into the <br />community to make a client county more livable. The program resulted in the creation of new <br />jobs and better access to employment opportunities and built long-term value by investing in <br />infrastructure, public works, parks, and the natural environment. <br />BIKE/PEDESTRIAN CORRIDORS: The LGN Federal Relations Group worked to secure a highly <br />innovative $25 million "non -motorized transportation pilot project" for the client city. <br />METRO AIRPORT: LGN secured $6.5 million to install and commission navigation aids and <br />other equipment for the airport's newest runway. <br />TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT: The LGN Federal Relations Group and city <br />officials worked with Members of Congress and successfully secured formal "authorization" in <br />the six-year federal highway bill of millions in federal funds to assist in the highway and surface <br />transportation components of the highly praised Corridor Development project. <br />AVIATION NOISE MITIGATION: LGN assisted a client community in securing $1.5.5 million in <br />airport funds to mitigate outside the 65DNL contour—an unprecedented victory for the client <br />and all of America's cities. <br />CITY TRANSPORTATION MITIGATION: On behalf of client city, LGN secured over $200 million <br />in FAA funds to purchase airport adjacent land and convert it from residential to compatible <br />commercial uses. <br />NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH: LGN obtained a $20 million investment for joint <br />FAA/NASA research to spur development of a next generation of quieter aircraft technology. <br />PORT AUTHORITY. The Federal Relations Group worked with the Port Authority and <br />Members of the Minnesota Congressional delegation to secure "Brownfield" designation for a <br />targeted neighborhood, opening the doors for millions in federal funds for mitigations and <br />infrastructure development. <br />RAIL CORRIDOR PROJECT: The LGN Federal Relations Group was successful in securing <br />formal Congressional designation for over $1,000,000 federal transportation funds to assist in a <br />rail corridor mitigation project. <br />
