Council directed staff <br />to work with Inspec to submit a revised proposal for a pre -design study. <br />Financial Impact: The cost for architectural services is $6,800 <br />Explanation: The City is seeking Architectural Services to analyze the current condition of the Family Service <br />Center roof. In 2009, the roof will be 15 years old and reach or surpass its life expectancy according to three <br />separate architectural firms. In addition, roof leaks have been increasing in each year with a three year total of <br />$9,947 in repair costs. Along with the increase in leaks, a recent safety inspection with Loss Control Services <br />found the walk -way pavers to be a "trip and fall hazard" and recommended the removal and replacement of all <br />broken pavers. <br />Costs and Funding: The 2009 non -fleet replacement plan includes the renovation of the Family Service Center <br />roof in the amount of $294,800.
