This initial work will define <br />issues, establish desired project direction, and set the stage for the subsequent <br />development of final construction documents, the bid process,.and construction <br />observation by Inspec, under a separate proposal. This comprehensive two-phase <br />design approach will help to ensure that all issues are properly reviewed, problems <br />are addressed, and funds are wisely spent. It also allows the representatives to make <br />• well-informed decisions regarding the possible repair of the existing roof and/or <br />eventual system utilized, and setting an accurate budget. <br />A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The facility consists of four separate roof areas; three of which are covered with a <br />ballasted EPDM roof system totaling approximately 41,000 square feet, and one <br />standing seam sheet metal roof totaling approximately 3,800 square feet. <br />This project includes only the three -ballasted EPDM areas totaling 41,000 square <br />feet. <br />B.
