He
indicated that the City has spent about $10,000
on security, remOdeling/code repairs, labor
relations services and other expenses in the past
six months, and that there is a possibility that
the City may get a bill from the State Auditor's
Office for costs incurred in the investigation of
the Liquor Operation. Be felt that further action
should be deferred until the State Auditor's
report is in, before the Council defines the scope
of the operational audit.

Councilmember Benke said he would like to take some
time to look at this proposal, and that the City
needs to establish what needs to be done. Council-
member Benke stated further that he would like
to defer further action until the State Auditor's
report is received and then would like to get
other firms involved in the bidding process.

Councilmember Schmidt stated that he would like a
marketing study as it relates to Brandywine, and
also suggested that the Council may want to con-
sider a marketing study at the same time for the
downtown facility, since that facility may be
interrelated and also it could save money to have
the same firm do both marketing studies at once.

I

Mayor Harcus stated that he felt a work session
should be held to discuss what areas we want done
in the operational audit, and whether it should
be historical or not.

Page Six

1983 Compensa-
tion Report #
83-53
Resolution #
8 3 -19

Operational
Audit Propos-
als Report #
83-54
