<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.....' <br />) <br />i, <br />i <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />..:. <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting of the New Brighton <br />city Council was held Tuesday, December 8, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. <br />in the municipal building, 803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None ~ <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />James Fornell, City Manager <br />Pat Kelly, Assistant City_Attorney <br />Les Proper, Director of Public Works <br />Ja~s Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />John Grau, Assistant City Manager <br />Joan Archer, city Planner <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to approve the <br />minutes of the Special meetings of November 5, 1981 and <br />the Regular meeting of November 24, 1981 as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to approve <br />the following iterr.s: <br /> <br />1. Liquor fund vouchers 14935-14975; 17307-17347; 17886 <br />2. Consolidated fund vouchers 52285-52319; 59970-60035 <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />Mr. Richard Bury was present and discussed <br />the concept that was being considered by <br />himself, Mr. Miller, property owner on the <br />east side of Old Highway #8 and which also <br />includes the property owned by Texgas <br />Corporation and Beisswenger's Hardware. <br /> <br />Municipal Development <br />District-Bury/Miller <br />Report No. 81-250- <br />7:45 - 8:25 <br /> <br />Mr. Bury explained that they were concerned <br />with the development of all approximately <br />60 acres, including the potential relocation <br />of the asphalt plant to the area just south <br />of the rendering plants, the potential for a <br />resource recovery/district heating plant, and <br /> <br />'," <br />~ <br />
