Purchase of Golf Course merchandise Report No, 82-1 for 1982 season. 5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Public Hearing No one present at the hearing spoke to the issue. Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to continue the public hearing on the Industrial Development Revenue Bond request of McCullough and Company until February 23, 1982 at 7:40 p,P1. 5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Council Business Mr. Orv Kraus, 1252 12th Avenue NW, representing the New Brighton Eagles, Lions and St. John's Church stated that he felt the Ordinance was good, proper and could be worked with. Mr. Kraus stated that he would, however, like to have some clarification regarding Section 5-134, Subd, 2, and the expenditure of monies. Industrial Revenue Bond - McCullough Report No. 82-7 8:00 - 8:03 ORDINANCE #487 Gambling Supplement to Report No. 81-267 Councilmember Benke stated that Subd. 2, of Section 5-134 refers to profits and that the type of expenditures noted by Mr. Kraus would be normally considered operating expenses and not profits. Mayor Harcus stated that it was their intent to keep the Ordinance as flexible as possible. Mr. Kraus asked how long it would take until the application form would be available. The City Manager replied that the Ordinance would take effect on pUblication and that application forms would be made available the week of January 18, 1982, Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to waive the reading, hold the second reading adopt and order pUblication of an ORDINANCE AMENDING THE NEW BRIGHTON CODE BY ADDING A 'T'ICLE V TO CHAPTER 5 with the amendment that -7- I ~ ~,:~ .'~'~
