Purchase of Golf Course merchandise Report No, 82-1 <br />for 1982 season. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />No one present at the hearing spoke to <br />the issue. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist <br />to continue the public hearing on the <br />Industrial Development Revenue Bond request <br />of McCullough and Company until February 23, 1982 <br />at 7:40 p,P1. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />Mr. Orv Kraus, 1252 12th Avenue NW, representing <br />the New Brighton Eagles, Lions and St. John's <br />Church stated that he felt the Ordinance <br />was good, proper and could be worked with. <br />Mr. Kraus stated that he would, however, like <br />to have some clarification regarding Section 5-134, <br />Subd, 2, and the expenditure of monies. <br /> <br />Industrial Revenue <br />Bond - McCullough <br />Report No. 82-7 <br />8:00 - 8:03 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #487 <br />Gambling <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 81-267 <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke stated that Subd. 2, of Section <br />5-134 refers to profits and that the type of expenditures <br />noted by Mr. Kraus would be normally considered <br />operating expenses and not profits. <br /> <br />Mayor Harcus stated that it was their intent <br />to keep the Ordinance as flexible as possible. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraus asked how long it would take until <br />the application form would be available. <br /> <br />The City Manager replied that the Ordinance <br />would take effect on pUblication and that <br />application forms would be made available <br />the week of January 18, 1982, <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to <br />waive the reading, hold the second reading <br />adopt and order pUblication of an ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING THE NEW BRIGHTON CODE BY ADDING <br />A 'T'ICLE V TO CHAPTER 5 with the amendment that <br /> <br />-7- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~,:~ <br />.'~'~ <br />
