That #7 of the Joint Powers Agreement be <br />reworded as follows: <br /> <br />This agreement shall terminate on December 31,2000, <br />unless the agreement is revised or terminated upon <br />terms mutually agreeable to the parties. The parties <br />expressly agree that any disputes arising hereunder <br />that are not satisfactorly resolved shall, upon appli- <br />cation of one of the parties hereto be submitted to <br />an arbitrator who will have full authority to resolve <br />the dispute. The parties expressly agree that transfer <br />of fee title to Long Lake Park from the City to the County <br />prior to the termination date of this agreement shall not <br />accelerate the date of termination. <br /> <br />6. That the City Council indicates support for development <br />of historical facilities in the park site and that <br />upon approval of the City Council, Ramsey County Board <br />of Commissioners and the Metropolitan Council that the <br />master plan be amended to include these facilities. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Joint Powers <br />Agreement be amended to designate the City of New Brighton as <br />the agency responsible for operation and maintenance of the boat <br />launches and fishing area. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is directed <br />to begin the environmental review process of this project and to <br />prepare an environmental assessment and submit it to the appro- <br />priate agencies. <br /> <br />3/23/82 <br />
