<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />July 13, 1982 <br /> <br />The City Council discussed the issue of overnight <br />parking on public streets and its relationship to <br />public safety and aesthetics. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Harcus to take no <br />action on the proposed ordinance regarding amending <br />Section 29-20 of the City Code relating to overnight <br />parking. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to amend the <br />motion by adding a direction to staff to increase <br />their public relations efforts in thos~ areas of most <br />concern regarding parking on streets through personal <br />staff contacts and perhaps through the City Newsletter. <br /> <br />Vote on amendment. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Overnight Parking <br />Report No. 82-l66 <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, se~onded by Benke to amend the main motion <br />by directing staff to correspond to the Ramsey County Clerk of <br />Court and indicate that the New Brighton City Council has considered <br />an ordinance amendment regarding overnight parking provisions <br />between the hours of 2 - S a~m. but that for reasons of public <br />safety and aesthetic concerns the Council has decided to leave <br />the ordinance unchanged at this time. <br /> <br />Vote on motion to amend. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Vote on main motion as amended. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBDIVISION <br />OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />(Generally located south of 8th Street NW and east <br />of 2nd Avenue NW). <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to add as <br />conditions of the subdivision approval the following: <br /> <br />1) That drainage plans for both lots be submitted and <br />approved by the City Engineer prior to the issuance <br />of any building permits; and <br />2) That first floor slab elevations be submitted and be <br />in accordance with those recommended by the soil tests <br />of the two properties on file and approved by the Building <br />Official prior to the issuance of building permits for <br />either property. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />Minor Subdivision <br />NuWay Builders, Inc. <br />Report No. 82-l68 <br />RESOLUTION 112612 <br />
