<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />July 13, 1982 <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to award the <br />bid for 1982 street seal coating and curb repair work <br />to Allied Blacktop Company in the amount of $28,295.68. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 82-6 FOREST DALE ROAD/REDWOOD <br />LANE/8TH STREET NW STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND PROJECT <br />82-10 WINDSOR GREEN AREA STREET RECONSTRUCTION. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The City Council discussed the request of Mr. Terry Talbot, <br />1100 Long Lake Road, to install no parking signs on <br />Pike Lake Circle adjacent to his home. After some <br />discussion the Council acted in the following manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Harcus, seconded by Benke to deny the request <br />of Mr. Terry Talbot to install no parking signs on <br />Pike Lake Circle and to direct staff to remove the <br />City no parking signs along Long Lake Beach Road. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to waive <br />the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC <br />HEARING ON A PROPOSAL TO UNDERTAKE AND FINANCE A <br />COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek to award <br />the repair to well house #8 to Earl Weikle & Sons <br />in an amount of $3,664.00. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to award the <br />repairs to well house #9 to Earl Weikle & Sons in <br />an amount of $11,675.00 with the following findings <br />in respect to the award of the contract: <br /> <br />1) That the Engineer's cost estimates were made in good <br />faith and were reasonable under the circumstances; <br />2) That an emergency exists in the City with respect to <br />the supply of uncontaminated potable water; and <br />3) That the need for construction fa these facilities <br />at the earliest time is necessary to protect the <br />public health by avoiding the need to use water which <br />may be contaminated. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />Project #82-l4 <br />Seal Coating <br />Report No. 82-169 <br /> <br />Projects 82-6, 82-l0 <br />Windsor Green Area <br />Street Reconstruction <br />Report No. 82-l70 <br />RESOLUTION #2613 <br /> <br />Petition-No Parking <br />Signs-Pike Lake Circle <br />Report No. 82-172 <br /> <br />McCullough & Company <br />Industrial Revenue Bond <br />Report No. 82-174 <br />RESOLUTION #2614 <br /> <br />Repairs to Well <br />Houses #8 and #9 <br />Report No. 82-171 <br />
