<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Cl~Y 01 ~ew ur~gnton <br />September 8, 1981 <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to <br />authorize repair of the city tractor backhoe <br />by International Harvester in Savage, Minnesota <br />for an estimated $3,800 and to waive the <br />reading and adopt a RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING <br />FUNDS FOR THE REPAIR OF CITY TRACTOR BACKHOE. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Repair City <br />Equipment <br />Report No. 81-188 <br />RESOLUTION :!f2502 <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to <br />award worker's compensation insurance coverage <br />to the Home Insurance Company at an estimated <br />gross premium of $55,131. (Valley View - agent) <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Worker's Compensation <br />Insurance <br />Report No. 81-189 <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Olson, representing the Citizen <br />Study Committee, was present to answer <br />questions. <br /> <br />City Facilities Review <br />Report No. 81-190 <br /> <br />The Council discussed the Citizen Study Committee's <br />recommendation regarding surplus City property and <br />it was the consensus of the Council that staff should <br />give additional consideration to the golf course <br />building and to the old maintenance shOf) property <br />located immediately east of the Community Resource <br />Center. In addition, the Council acted in the <br />following manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquist to receive <br />the City Facilities Review and declare Lots 15, 16, <br />17, and 18, Block 1, Redmond Addition, Ramsey County, <br />Minnesota and Lots 6 and 7, Block 1, Pike Lake Estates, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as surplus property and <br />authorize staff to dispose of said property. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek to give the previous owners <br />of the proposed fire station site on l4th Street <br />the first right-of-refusal on the sale of that <br />property. <br /> <br />Motion died for lack of second. <br /> <br />Vote on original motion. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek <br />to waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />REQUESTING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL BRA <br />TO APPLY FOR AND IMPLEMENT A REHABILITATION <br />LOAN PROGRAM WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan Program <br />Report No. 81-192 <br />RESOLUTION #2503 <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Brewer, representing Plaza Cleaners, <br />was present to discuss his request for a <br />license to distribute discount coupon books <br />for dry cleaning services on a door-to-door <br />basis. <br /> <br />Peddlers License <br />Plaza Cleaners <br />Report No. 81-184 <br /> <br />-4- <br />
