The Director of Public Works noted that <br />it would be perhaps better to defer awarding of <br />the bids pending the outcome of the determination <br />regarding approval of super-funds. <br /> <br />The Director of Public Works stated that he would <br />recommend that the Council call a special meeting <br />for Monday, November 30, 1981 to consider awarding <br />the bids as he had been told the decision regarding <br />super-fund would be made this Friday, November 27, 1981. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if the additional requirements required <br />by the State Health Board were justified and necessary. <br /> <br />The Director of Public Works replied that the additional <br />requirements for sealing of the aquifer would cost <br />approximately $l3,000 - $16,000 per well. The Director <br />of Public Works replied that they had been working <br />with the State Health Board regarding this requirement <br />and would continue to do so but that it was likely <br />that the sealing would be required. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
