<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />June 23, 1981 <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to <br />initiate the rezoning of property included <br />under PL-124 from its existing Heavy Industrial <br />classification to the Limited Industrial <br />classification as shown in the new revised <br />zoning code and Comprehensive Plan. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to <br />waive the reading, hold the second reading, <br />adopt and order publication of an ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING APPENDIX A, ZONING CODE, OF THE <br />NEW BRIGHTON CITY CODES and direct staff <br />to prepare a summary of the proposed zoning <br />code to be published within the New Brighton <br />Bulletin. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to <br />direct staff and the Planning Commission <br />to research and consider revisions to the <br />zoning code for solar protection and earth <br />sheltering. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to <br />approve the agreement with Barr Engineering <br />Company for preparation of the drainage <br />plan and authorize the Mayor and Manager <br />to execute the agreement. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. Gayle Bromander, representing the <br />New Brighton Historical Society was <br />present to discuss the plans for the <br />July 3, 4, and 5th "Stockyard Days" <br />celebration plans. <br /> <br />Mr. Rick posten, representing the <br />New Brighton Jaycees, was present <br />to discuss the proposed parking plan <br />with the city Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Bury, owner of the property <br />on which the celebration is to take place, <br />indicated that he was familiar with the <br />plans to grade his property and that he <br />was in complete agreement and fully aware <br />of the celebration plans. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist <br />to approve and authorize the July 3, 4, and <br />5th "Stockyard Days" celebration with City <br />assistance in facilitating public access and <br />in maintaining public safety subject to receipt <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />Second Reading <br />of an Ordinance <br />Revised zoning Code <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 81-100 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 482 <br /> <br />Agreement with <br />Barr Engineering Co. <br />Drainage Plan <br />Report No. 81-135 <br /> <br />Stockyard Days <br />Celebration <br />Report No. 81-132 <br />
