Authorize payment for right-of-way Report No. 81-156 <br />acquisition 10th Street NW <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />No one appeared to speak to the subject. <br /> <br />General Revenue <br />Sharing <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 81-127 <br />7:40 - 7:50 <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist <br />to close the hearing. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt <br />to appropriate $71,000 for Hansen Park <br />improvements and direct staff to prepare <br />plans and specifications for N.W. drainage, <br />walk/bike paths and grading and fill of <br />west parking lot to include renovation of <br />parking lot entrance. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />The City Manager and the Director of <br />Public Works reviewed the contents of <br />the report. <br /> <br />Water Problem <br />Report No. 81-152 <br /> <br />The Mayor stated that the City Manager, <br />Councilmember Benke, Representative <br />Bruce Vento, representing the 4th <br />Congressional District, and himself <br />had toured the Twin Cities Army <br />Ammunition Plant facilities as <br />a guest of the U.S. Army on Friday <br />July 24, 1981. He stated the Army <br />was very cooperative and the <br />indications are that the army is <br />making every attempt to locate the potential <br />source. He further stated that Senator Durenburger <br />and Senator Boschwitz have been advised of the <br />problem. The Mayor stated he was in receipt <br />of a copy of a letter from Representative Bruce Vento <br /> <br />-2- <br />
