<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />July 28, 1981 <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed <br />receipt of the proposed addendum. <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Simons, Ramsey County Open Space, <br />was present. Mr. Simons noted for the <br />record that the development plan for <br />Long Lake Park had already been approved <br />by the Council and that the Joint Powers <br />Agreement relates to preparation of a <br />master plan for Long Lake Park. <br /> <br />Mr. Marv Cook, 2194 Lakebrook Drive, stated he <br />was concerned that the specifics of the park <br />development are unkown and that it would be <br />beneficial for community residents to know <br />what are the specifics of the park development. <br /> <br />Mr. Walt Meyer, 1283 Mississippi Street, stated <br />he was concerned that the City not get locked <br />into the entire master plan in the event that <br />situations may change and that what is now <br />planned becomes unworkable. <br /> <br />Mr. Meyer stated he just hopes the City can <br />retain options for the park development. <br /> <br />The Mayor responded that the Council is very <br />concerned and will continually monitor each <br />phase to make certain that the final plan <br />is acceptable to the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Pat Cobb, 1700 19A Street NW, stated that <br />he felt more information could be made available <br />regarding the Long Lake Park development and <br />that he preferred that the City of New Brighton <br />be the implementing agency. <br /> <br />The Mayor reviewed the Metropolitan Council <br />guidelines regarding implementing agencies <br />and indicated that it was the City's desire <br />also to be the implementing agency but that <br />had not worked out. The Mayor also indicated <br />that the information regarding the park development <br />would be made available to anyone through the <br />Park Department staff. <br /> <br />Vote on motion. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek <br />to accept the Architectural Alliance <br />proposal for site analysis for the <br />proposed downtown liquor expansion for <br />a fee not to exceed $2,600. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Site Analysis <br />Downtown Liquor <br />Store <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 81-145 <br /> <br />-5- <br />
