Antennas are defi~ed for"1>urposes of this section as any device <br />intended to be used to receive or transmi t radio signals and mounted <br />by a mast, pole, tower or simiilar device. <br /> <br />b. Groul(ld mounted antennas shall have setbacks equal to or greater -- <br />than the height of the antenna. Any guy anchorage or similiar device <br />shall be at least 10 feet from any property line. <br /> <br />c. Roof mounted. antennas. shall have setbacks equal to or greater than <br />the height of the antenna above the roof. These antennas shall be . <br />light weight structures using mast or pole mounting. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />d. Special Use 'Permit. Proposed antennas that do not meet the above <br />restrictions may be permitted by a special use permit. The Planning <br />Cornission in making a recommendation and the Council in acting upon <br />'the special use permit shall be guided by the following factors: <br /> <br />~" 1. The location'toSitZhe, usbeli,. orht~alethof oPfertation intended shall <br />\ not be -injurious e pu c e ,sa e y, convenience or <br />general welfare. <br />I, <br /> <br />2. Application for special use penni t must include construcion <br />drawings showing the proposed method of installation, structural <br />engineering analysis and site plan depicting the proposed location <br />of the antenna, all existing structures andplantings on the <br />property and all adjacent properties. <br /> <br />3. Structural engineering analysi:s must be in accordance with <br />ErA Standard RS-222-C,. Structural Standards for Antenna Towers. <br />, <br /> <br />4. Self supporting antennas shall have setbacks equal to or <br />greater than the height of the proposed antenna. <br /> <br />"'". <br /> <br />5. Guyed antennas shall have setbacks equal to or greater than <br />500;6 of the height of the proposed antenna. Guys shall be anchored <br />at a horizontal. distance from the antenna base of not less than <br />600;6 of the proposed antenna height. All guy anchorages shall be <br />at least 10 feet from any property line. <br /> <br />6. If, the antenna is intended for the transmission of radio <br />signals, a copy of the required Federal Communication Commission <br />license must be submitted. Height restrictions must be in com- <br />pliance with FCC rules and regulations. <br /> <br />7.
