City of New Brighton <br />October 14, 1980 <br />1) The warrants for stop sign installation are not met; <br />2) That those stop signs at this location are potentially <br />hazardous; <br />3) The New Brighton area residents are unanimously opposed; <br />and further requested reconsideration of present stop sign <br />located on Stinson Boulevard at Innsbruck Parkway and requested <br />removal due to potential danger. <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to amend the motion <br />to include a request that Columbia Heights install stop <br />signs at all streets entering Stinson Boulevard contiguous <br />to New Brighton and that Stinson Boulevard be considered <br />a through street in this area. <br />Vote on amendment. <br />5 ayes -- 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Vote on motion as amended. <br />5 ayes -- 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to Petition to Delete <br />waive the rules of Council procedure to Street Light - <br />consider a petition requesting reconsideration Fredeen Court <br />of Council action regarding installation of <br />street lights at Fredeen Court. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />The Mayor with the consent of the Council <br />directed receipt of the petition. <br />Jo Tollefson, 1937 Fredeen Court and Mary Witucki, <br />1950 Fredeen Court spoke in opposition to the street <br />light installation. <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to direct <br />staff to delete installation of the Fredeen Court <br />street light from the street light resolution of <br />1980. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to <br />adjourn at 10:10 p.m. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br />APPRO ED: <br />ATTEST: <br />J s .
