<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />November 12, 1980 <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist <br />to ratify the actions of the administration <br />in regard to the contract over-run as <br />documented by Report No. 80-187. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Councilmember Benke returned at 9:45. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist <br />to direct staff to transfer $4,000 from <br />the Revenue Sharing Fund to the Park <br />Construction Fund and award the construction <br />of the parking lot to the lowest bidder <br />Bituminous Consulting & Contracting Company <br />in an amount of $9,852.66. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke <br />to waive the reading and adopt a resolution <br />entitled RESOLUTION ORDERING THE INSTALLATION <br />OF STOP SIGNS ON 9A AVENUE NW AT 10TH STREET NW, <br />10TH AVENUE NW AT 8TH STREET NW, AND 8TH STREET <br />NW AT 8TH AVENUE NW. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Council considered a complaint from <br />Mr. Roger SChilling, 1184 Mississippi Street, <br />regarding the noise and debris on the end <br />of Mississippi Street resulting from <br />automobile parking and considered the <br />feasibility of erecting no parking signs <br />in this area of Mississippi Street. <br />After discussion, the Council acted in <br />the following manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to <br />direct staff to inform Mr. Schilling that <br />added problems would be created by the erection <br />of no parking signs at this location and to <br />direct staff to take appropriate action to <br />control loitering, noise, etc. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist <br />to waive the reading and adopt the following <br />resolutions: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING THE MENGELKOCH COMPANY <br />AN OFFENSIVE TRADES LICENSE AND AFFIXING <br />CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF OPERATION. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING GORDON RENDERING <br />COMPANY AN OFFENSIVE TRADES LICENSE AND <br />AFFIXING CERTAIN CONDITIONS OF OPERATION. <br /> <br />5 ayes- 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br />Contract Over-run <br />Project 79-l0B <br />Report No. 80-187 <br /> <br />Hansen Park Quotes <br />Report No. 80-192 <br /> <br />Stop Signs <br />8th Street NW and <br />9A Avenue. <br />Report No. 80-193 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2395A <br /> <br />No Parking Signs <br />Mississippi Street <br />East of Long Lake <br />Road. <br />Report No. 80-194 <br /> <br />Offensive Trade <br />Licenses - Mengelkoch <br />Company and Gordon <br />Rendering <br />Report No. BO-19S <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2396 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2397 <br />
