<br />Public Hearings
<br />The Mayor directed receipt and read a letter
<br />from the applicant requesting the continuation
<br />of consideration for the PRD until the next
<br />Council meeting so that the applicant has
<br />sufficient time to prepare the necessary
<br />plans.
<br />
<br />The Director of Community Development reviewed
<br />the development proposal and noted that the
<br />plans had been approved by both the Planning
<br />Commission and Park Board.
<br />
<br />Wayne Leverkuhn, Chair of the New Brighton Planning
<br />Commission, stated that there had appeared to be
<br />a great deal of support for the plans now prepared
<br />by the geveloper.
<br />
<br />Mr. Leverkuhn stated that it should be well noted
<br />that reconstruction of the tennis court and other
<br />landscaping should be the responsibility of the
<br />developer.

<br />Mr. Lyle Studt, 77 Oakwood Drive, area resident for
<br />16 years stated that he had been fOllowing this project
<br />through the various Planning Comnlission and Park Board
<br />meetings and that his main concern has been to retain
<br />access to Oakwood Drive.
<br />
<br />Mr. Studt stated it appeared to him that the latest
<br />proposal is very acceptable.
<br />
<br />Mr. John White, 3404 Silver Lane, questioned what
<br />the price range of the units would be. The Director
<br />of Community Development stated that figures the
<br />applicant had originally used for the condominium
<br />units were $35,000 and up depending on the size of
<br />the unit purchased, but that these were very rough
<br />figures at this time.

<br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to continue discussion
<br />on PRD #30 until February 27, 1980 at 7:35 p.m.

<br />Council Business
<br />The Mayor directed receipt of a petition
<br />requesting Council consideration of the
<br />feasibility of construction of the connection
<br />between Silver Lane and l6th Avenue SW.
<br />
<br />Karen Mattison, 49 Oakwood Drive, stated she
<br />was concerned for traffic volumes in the area
<br />and would like to see this road connection
<br />completed.
