<br />City of New Brighton <br />February 27, 1980 <br /> <br />1. That final grading and drainage plans be approved <br />by the City Engineer and the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District; <br />2. That a six foot wooden fence setback fifteen (15) <br />feet from the front property line be installed <br />along the eastern property line; <br />3. That the applicant provide for a driveway access <br />for emergency and drainage purposes from the southern <br />property line to be negotiated with the property <br />owner to the south. <br />4. That the applicant conform with site and landscape <br />plans dated and signed by the applicant and City <br />Planner. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />No action was taken regarding the status of <br />recommendations emanating from the 1979 <br />Community Leaders Workshop. <br /> <br />The City Manager briefed the Council on staff <br />actions to date and staff recommendations. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to <br />adopt the staff recommendations in principle <br />and refer to the Downtown Development District <br />Advisory Board. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Manager reviewed the comparison of the <br />proposed contract with the existing labor <br />agreement. He indicated that the only language <br />change in the contract related to the new <br />provision on lay-offs and recall. The other <br />changes made to the contract were in the area <br />of wages, health insurance contributions, and <br />the addition of an eleventh holiday. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to approve <br />the 1980 Public Works Contract with the Local 320 <br />and authorize Mayor and Manager to execute said <br />contract. <br />3 ayes - 1 naye (Senden) - motion carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to <br />waive the reading and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />VACATING A WATERMAIN EASEMENT generally <br />located north of Silver Lane and west of <br />Oakwood Drive. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Schmidt to <br />receive the feasibility study on 1980 <br />improvements including project 80-1 and <br />80-2. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - wotion carried <br /> <br />1979 Community <br />Leaders Workshop <br />Review <br />Report No. 80-26 <br /> <br />Technical <br />Assistance <br />for the <br />Redevelopment <br />of the Downtown <br />Area. <br /> <br />1980 Public Works <br />Contract - <br />Local 320 <br />Report No. 80-24 <br /> <br />Vacation of Watermai <br />Easement <br />Report No. 80-23 <br />RESOLUTION #2305 <br /> <br />Feasibility Study <br />1980 Improvements <br />Report No. 80-25 <br />
