I

"

I

I

I

It was decided that Roseville would proceed as quickly as possible with
the CST proposal in the good faith that 'all the communities represented
would provide a positive response from their City Councils. If such a
response was not provided in the next 30 days, those communities would be
dropped from the proposal.

Both Bob Zeller and -Ralph campbell noted that all the communities would
have nothing to lose and several things to gain by being in the joint
proposal. We would gain time--it takes 90 days before the State Board
can approve a CST. Ralph Campbell noted that there are many economies
in working together which would otherwise take a duplication of effort
and cost.

REVIEW: The New Brighton citizens committee had proposed a CST consisting
of these same communities in letters sent in November of 1979 and January
1980 to these same communities.

ACTION TO BE TAKEN: A recommendation to the City Council that they issue
a statement of intent "That the City of New Brighton is in favor of being
included in a Cable Service Territory being proposed by the City of Rosevi11e
to the Minnesota State Cable Board and including Roseville, Little Canada,
New Brighton and the other North Suburban Communities which would like to ~e
included. The other potential communities are Mounds View, Arden Hills,
Shoreview, Lauderdale, Falcon Heights, St. Anthony, Vadnais Heights and
North Oaks."

~/b./8CJ
-Je>~ 1G:o~
