<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />November 13, 1979 <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />The City Manager reviewed the contents <br />of the 1980-85 capital Improvement and <br />Equipment Program. <br /> <br />Federal Revenue <br />Sharing and 1980-85 <br />Capital Improvements <br />and Equipment Program <br />7:35-8:20 <br /> <br />After considerable discussion the Council <br />acted in the following manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg <br />to change the description for page A~14, <br />item #2 to "Veterans Site Work" and on <br />page A-l~ item #9 to include the Veteran's Park <br />building as a 1982 item in the amount of <br />$70,000. <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Janecek <br />to amend the motion to consider item #4, page A-14 <br />"Develop Trail" (south pike Lake) as a 1984 <br />proposal in the amount of $15,000. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Vote on motion as amended. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Senden <br />to refer the Pike Lake bike rest area to <br />staff and the Park Board for consideration <br />in the Comprehensive Park Plan. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdouschegg <br />to change the description to read "Innsbruck <br />Drive and Palmer Drive sidewalk" (item #3, page A-18) <br />and to increase the 1980 dollar amount to $34,000. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Ellen Dahl, 258 14th Avenue NW, questioned why the $15,000 <br />miscellaneous park project appropriation listed in 0-2 was <br />not included in the "A" section of the proposed program. <br />The Manager responded that the items were not defined but would <br />be approved if the Council approved D-2 of the report as written. <br /> <br />James Gorman, 2323 Sioux Court, questioned whether maintenance <br />and the policing of the boulevard was considered in the <br />sidewalk plan. <br /> <br />Staff responded, "Not formally." <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Blomquist to close the hearing. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Janecek to approve the <br />Capital Improvements and Equipment Program as amended <br />and to order feasibility studies for the applicable <br />1980 portions of the plan as outlined on pages D-l and D-2 <br />of the program. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - mot1on carried <br />
