<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />December 26, 1979 <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, the Council acted in the <br />fOllowing manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Werdousche~g to direct staff <br />to draft a letter to the Board declining participation in <br />the Suburban Police Recruitment System. and expressing <br />concern that no electe~ officials are proposed to be <br />included as board members, that it would appear that <br />an additional bureaucracy was being created, that the <br />cost of participation is very high, and directing that <br />copies of this letter be forwarded to other participating <br />conununities. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to extend the suspension of the position of <br />Assistant Chief of Police from the Civil <br />Service Classification for ninety (90) days. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Werdouschegg <br />to set a date and time for a police staffing <br />workshop for January 29, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to waive the reading, hold the second reading <br />adopt and publish an ordinance entitled <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13-156 OF THE NEW <br />BRIGHTON CITY CODE RELATING TO REGISTRATION FEES <br />FOR MULTIPLE DWELLINGS. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Janecek <br />to waive the reading and adopt a resolution <br />entitled RESOLUTION SETTING REGISTRATION FEES <br />FOR MULTIPLE DWELLINGS AS AUTHORIZED BY CHAPTER <br />THIR'rEEN OF 'fHE NEW BRIGH1'ON CITY CODE with the <br />fee to be $3.00 per year per unit, or $6.00 <br />bi-annually per unit. <br />4 ayes - 1 naye (Senden) - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Senden,seconded by Werdouschegg <br />to adopt the Manager's cover letter and <br />attached procedure regarding City policy <br />relative to tax exempt financing approvals. <br /> <br />Motion by Werdouschegg, seconded by Blomquist <br />to amend the motion by amending #3 of the <br />Manager's cover letter to read as follows: <br /> <br />Assistant Chief <br />of Police Appointme <br />Delay <br />Report No. 79-482 <br /> <br />Workshop <br />Police Staffing <br /> <br />Multiple Dwelling <br />Registration Fees <br />Report No. 79-532 <br />ORDINANCE #469 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #2282 <br /> <br />Application Procedu <br />and Flow Chart -- <br />Tax Exempt Financin, <br />Report No. 79-536 <br /> <br />3. The City Manager schedules the applicant <br />for a City Council agenda and provides <br />the City Council with supporting concept discussion <br />information. The applicant is notified of the <br />date and time that t1e City Council will consider <br />~~e 3pp:isa~~'s ~ecues~. <br /> <br />* <br />
