Bob McFarland was the recipient of the Michael I Walker Sprit Award. The National <br />League of Cities Conference was attended ion D.C. Meetings were attended with Betty McCollum, who <br />said the City should try to obtain more funding for clean up costs in the Northwest Quadrant, The Mayor <br />worked on 135W coalition along with Mayors from neighboring cities, meeting with Senators.Klobuchar <br />and Bachman. <br />A prescription discount prograrn was featured at the conference; a comrnunity tracked the resident's savings <br />of $10,000 in 3 months. Various general session presentations were attended Thursday April 16" Mayor <br />Larson will be attending the Metro Cities annual meeting. April 29" them is a joint meeting with the League <br />of Minnesota Cities, Association of Counties, Association of Townships and School boards.
