Public hearing to consider proposed changes to Chapter 2 of the City Code regarding <br />requests for municipal development assistance. Report No. 09-078. Ordinance No. 774. <br />Director of Cornrnunity Development Grant Femelius explained this amendment would establish a process <br />for requesting development assistance from the City. This would be a two step process. The preliminary <br />application would be submitted to the council at a work session. Pending council's interest; the second step <br />would be the submission of more detailed plans. A separate fee would accompany phase two. Staffhas not <br />yet determined what this fee would be. A separate council action would be required to amend the fee <br />regist <br />Councilmember Phillips questioned ifthe Planning Commission should be included with the EDC in item I <br />Councilmember Doffing suggested using and/or (EDC and/or Planning Commission) Director Fernelius <br />explained that at some point if there is a land use application, it would go before the Planning Commission. <br />City Attorney LeFevere stated the ordinance is best as it is written, as it only deals with financial assistance. <br />Mayor Larson opened the Public Hearing at 7:00 pm. <br />Mayor Larson asked for comments, there were none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Doffing, seconded by Councilmember Phillips to close the Public <br />Hearing. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 7:00 pm. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Couuc8member Phillips to approve an ordinance <br />relating to a request for municipal development assistance adding article 8 to Chapter 2 of the City <br />Code. <br />2.
