Continuation of Public hearing from March 10, 2009 to consider proposed changes to Chapter 17 of <br />the City Code Regarding tall weeds and wood piles. Report No. 09-093. Ordinance No. 771. <br />Code Enf xxonent Office Joe Hatch outlined a few of the key amendments in the ordinance, including the <br />exclusion of ornamental grass in the definition of weeds. <br />Councilmember Phillips suggested dnanging the word "garden" to "landscaped area" Councilmember <br />Burg explained that there could be varying viewpoints of a garden. Director of Community Development <br />Grant Femelius stated that the intent of the ordinance is to prevent overgrown grass and weeds. <br />Mayor Larson asked for comments, there were none. <br />Motion by Councilmember Phfflips, seconded by Councilmember Burg to dose the Public Hearing <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />8.
