The planning oar ar nission suggested a code expainsion at 1565 I st <br />amendment to address the restriction on the number of loading dock doors facing a public street. AveiueNW, known as tlx <br />Landscaping suggestions were made by the City Forester, Staffrecommended implementing all <br />Missia►Foodsplant <br />recommendations fiom the City Forester. Councilmember Bauman was not on agreement with the City ResokAion No. 09-= <br />Forester dictating landscape requirements for the property. Councilmember Burg shaved her opinion that the <br />input provided by the City Forester has been a positive influence throughout the City. Councilmember <br />Phillips suggested amending our ordinance to include landscape requirements in the fixture. Councilmember <br />Doffing reported screening was discussed at length at the recent planning commission meeting. Approval <br />was recommended by the planning commission subject to conditions. Councilmember Phillips suggested <br />allowing a building permit to be issued prior to the code amerxlments, in order to not delay construction. <br />Mayor Larson was hesitant to not follow procedure, and asked the City Attorney for clarification. Mr. <br />LeFevere stated the building plans should be consistent with the =Vnt code. City Planner Gundlach <br />reported the applicant can submit their building pemnit application at any time, provided they include a <br />notation indicating their intended changes. <br />Motion by Councib nember Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Burg to adopt the resolution for <br />the requested site plan approval subject to six conditions, and changing condition number three: <br />remove planning commission and. <br />And paragraph 11, changing submittal to pNOyjfl&a building permit. <br />Item number five to include without removing 4 parking stalls and the addition of the curb <br />islands on the east length of parking, with the plantigg of 4 shade trees as recommended <br />2.
