Bob McFarland was the recipient of the Michael I Walker Sprit Award. The National <br />League of Cities Conference was attended ion D.C. Meetings were attended with Betty McCollum, who <br />said the City should try to obtain more fiunding for clean up costs in the Northwest Quadrant, The Mayor <br />worked on 135W coalition along with Mayors fiom neighboring cities, meeting with Senators Klobudw <br />and Bachman. <br />A prescription discount program was featured at the conference; a connnur ity tracked the resident's savings <br />of $10,000 in 3 months. Various general session presentations were attcrxled. Thursday Apra l 6b Mayor <br />Larson will be attaA ng the Metro Cities annual meeting. ApnI 20 ttx= is a joint meeting with the League <br />of Minnesota Cities, Association of Counties, Association of Townships and School boards.
