-3- <br />Harreld stated she wanted to thank Chair Frischman for doing an excellent job this <br />past year. The meetings ran smoothly and stated she would like to nominate Chair <br />Frischman for re-election as Chairperson for 2009, seconded by Meyer. <br />Heinrich stated he would like to nominate Tom Trevorrow as chair, seconded by <br />Samuelson. <br />Trevorrow stated he agrees that Frischman has done a good job and would not <br />have a problem giving the Chair seat to her again. <br />The Commission did a written ballot and Jeanne Frischman was nominated again <br />as Chair. <br />VIII. Announcements <br />A. Chair Updates <br />Summer Newsletter came out. For the months of April -- August. <br />B. Department Happenings / upcoming events <br />Breuer gave the Department Happenings for March. <br />Breuer also gave a few announcements: <br />On April 16`b there is a North Metro .Sustainability Workshop. They are <br />working on the flyer and it will be forwarded to Commission members. It is at <br />the Family Service Center. <br />• May 6`" there will be a muting on the future of the skate park at Freedom. <br />Residents and users are encouraged to attend so their voice can be heard. <br />• The "In the Neighborhood" will be coming out shortly. Parks and Recreation <br />had several articles in there. <br />Frischman challenged her fellow commissioners to talk to residents about the <br />skate board park. She would like to have a well-rounded discussion. <br />Frischman stated the Commission was happy to have Council member Burg here <br />as the liaison for this Commission. <br />Burg stated it is an honor to be here. <br />Trevorrow inquired if there were any requirements of Council Liaisons to attend a <br />certain number of meetings. <br />Burg stated no there isn't. Council member Bauman did make an apology last <br />week. Bauman commented that her business required her to be there on <br />. Wednesday evenings. <br />Burg also commented that Council members have a lot of obligations. There are a <br />lot of opportunities for meetings. Some are able to attend more meetings than <br />others. <br />
