Legislative History: None Financial Impact: Pipe Services has the low quotation in an amount of $38,000. This work was budgeted for in 2009. Explanation: The purpose of this item is to obtain Council approval of a quotation from Pipe Services for sanitary sewer televising inspections. We annually contract for television inspection on a portion of our sanitary sewer system each year. We are proposing to televise approximately 100,000 feet of sanitary sewer in 2009. The following quotations for the televising inspections were received: The tied bid was determined by a coin toss on Monday, 5/4/09 — won by Pipe Services, Dave Olson, Kim Otis, Ron Fenney from Visu-Sewer, and Kerry Blaisdell from Pipe Services were present. The sanitary sewer televising is an annual ongoing program to find and correct potential problems; such as, broken tile and root growth that can cause sewer backups if gone undetected and groundwater infiltration that can result in high Metropolitan sewer charges.
