Gould, President, SilverCrest Properties, LLC <br /> Elizabeth York, Development Manager, SilverCrest Properties, LLC <br /> Peter Pfister, Pfister&Associates <br /> RE: Addition to the Dining Room at Brightondale Assisted Living <br /> 2700 Rice Creek Road, New Brighton, MN 55112 <br /> We are submitting an application for a Planned Residential Development which is an amendment to an <br /> existing PUD for Brightondale Assisted Living, 2700 Rice Creek Road, New Brighton, MN. <br /> This amendment is for the purpose of adding a one-story 1,200 square foot addition to the existing first <br /> floor dining room at Brightondale. The additional space allows us to utilize the common area space to <br /> provide formal dining as well as a bistro informal dining area and a much desired multi-purpose room on <br /> the first floor for social activities. <br /> A small patio will be added outside the dining room. No large evergreen trees which presently adorn <br /> the back yard will need to be removed for this addition. Shrubbery around the building and patio will be <br /> replaced at the end of construction. We are planning to stage construction at the NW corner of Cub's <br /> parking lot. Measures will be taken by the contractor to protect vegetation during construction. <br /> We have submitted an application to the Rice Creek Watershed District and our hearing date is May 27, <br /> 2009. RLK Incorporated is working with the Watershed. A copy of their submittal dated April 17, 2009, <br /> is enclosed for your reference. An infiltration basin will be required by the Watershed and this is shown <br /> on Exhibit 2. This will require taking out some "volunteer" trees which is within a 75 x 150 foot wooded <br /> ponding area on the Brightondale site. <br /> A neighborhood meeting is set for Tuesday, May 5, at 7:00 PM at the Brightondale Assisted Living dining <br /> room. We expect good attendance for this informative meeting and we will provide a thorough <br /> discussion of the work to be done. Construction of the addition is expected to start in July, 2009, and be <br /> finished in November, 2009. <br /> We look forward to your approval of this application.
