Bids ranged from $180,090.04 to $309,119.92. The Engineer's <br />Estimate was $246,865.00. A Bid Abstract is enclosed. The low bidder on the project was <br />Ellingson Drainage from West Concord, Minnesota. <br />We have worked with Ellingson Drainage in the past and have found their work to be in general <br />conformance with the plans and specifications. Most recently, they completed a successful 2,500 <br />foot long trenchless watermain project beneath Mud Lake for the City of Albertville, Minnesota. <br />Based on their experience and acceptable bid prices, we recommend that the City of New <br />Brighton award the project to Ellingson Drainage for the contract amount of $180,090.04. <br />If you have any questions regarding this award recommendation, please call me at (952) 890- <br />0509. <br />Sincerely, <br />BOLTON & MENK, INC. <br />Mark D.
