The following directives
came out of the discussion.
• Write a resolution for Council approval creating a citizen sign committee of seven
people. The committee with sit for no longer than 6 months and be composed of residents
and business owners who are residents. Once the resolution is adopted by Council, staff
will advertise and solicit for committee members.
• Council asked staff to highlight the codes that are to be reviewed and potentially
amended. Those first three codes are signs, PRD/PUD and cell towers. While the third of
the three priorities was not verbally stated at the meeting, staff would recommend this as
the third priority.
• It was acknowledged by Council that the entire list of codes could take up to five years to
review and amend.
