June 9, 2009 Page 4 of 4 <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson reported Ed Synp mewsla gave a great presentation at the recent Public Safety Commission <br />meeting detailing East Metro SWAT team. The next Public Safety Commission meeting is scheduled for <br />June 24th. Officer Ted Layton has coonlinated an effort to send seven boxes of supplies to Officer Troy <br />Hyland and his troops in Iraq. A blood drive is scheduled for June 16',1:30-6:30 at the Public Safety <br />Center. On June 22 the Mayor will be attending a meeting hosted by Representative McCollum at the <br />Ramsey County Public Works garage. <br />_Councilmember Mary Buri <br />Councilmember Burg reported the North Suburban Cable Commission and the North Suburban Access <br />Commission scholarships were recently awanied, New Brighton resident Katherine Callistm was one of the <br />recipients. The June Parks, Recreation and Enviromnental Commission meeting included an update from <br />one of the youth representatives from the Freedom Park Skate Park. It was reported that efforts have been <br />made to reduce problem behaviors; a positive change in attitude was reported Patrice Atkinson, Recreation <br />Supervisor received her MBA. It was announced Recreation Supervisor Andy Soltvedt has submitted his <br />resignation. <br />Councilmember Sharon DoHnn <br />Coundmember Doffing announced she will not be sedung a third term in office this fall. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion by Councilmember Doffing, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to adjourn the meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:04 pm. <br />ATTEST: <br />Daniel A.
