There are <br />3.46 miles of streets, the Driftwood Park east parking lot, and the driveway to Well 15, to be seal coated under this <br />year's project. Attached to this report is a copy of the informational letter and project map which will be to residents <br />in the seal coating areas. <br />ids for Project 09-2A, 2009 Street Seal Coating were opened by Staff at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. The <br />following bids were received: <br />Pearson Bros. Inc. — $84,059.88 <br />Allied Blacktop Company = $87,907.38 <br />Pearson Bros. Inc. has done seal coating for the City in the past and has always done a good job. Staff recommends <br />the 2009 Seal Coating be awarded to Pearson Bros. Inc. <br />The cost of seal coating has risen considerably over the years because of increases in the price of oil.
