• <br />0 <br />• <br />Water and Sewer Service Line Policy <br />Chapter 1 <br />the City Engineer shall advise the property owner orally <br />and in writing to proceed with repairs, the cost of which <br />may or may not be paid by the City. <br />4. If the property owner's excavator or plumber excavates the <br />service and feels that the City is responsible for the <br />problem, the City Engineer must be contacted immediately <br />to make an inspection and determine responsibility. If the <br />determination is made that the City is responsible as <br />provided under Section 3, the City Engineer shall make <br />arrangements to pay the repair bill or reimburse the <br />property owner. <br />Section 5. Council Appeal <br />If the affected property owner does not agree with the decision of the <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer, the property owner may appeal the <br />decision to the City Council. <br />Section 6. Effective Date <br />This policy is effective September 8, 2009 by resolution of the City <br />Council. <br />3 <br />
