Allina Medical <br />Dave Matteson was present from Allina. He stated that Allina has added more staffing <br />time for their ambulances and they will be providing management services to Kanabec <br />County ambulance services. <br />Bill Snoke has taken on new/extra duties with Allina and may not be attending many <br />meetings in the future for the Commission. <br />Allina is working on identification of COPD and CHF more quickly and accurately to <br />better treat patients. <br />Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS) <br />Commissioner Woods reported: <br />Commissioner Woods noted that the City of New Brighton was honor6d last week by <br />Allina as their first "Heart Safe Community." Several Commissioners, Officer McNeely <br />and Council Member Doffing were present to accept the award,',,"'Commissioner Woods <br />stated that we have received two signs for use at entrances, to the City. Commissioner <br />Woods has asked that the signs be presented tQ the Council, in October. <br />VIPS members also volunteered to participate in an HIN1 exercise called "Big Shot" in <br />Arden Hills. The exercise was run by the St. Paul/Ramsey County Public Health Dept. <br />A CERT refresher was held on H IN 1 flu and pandemicflu. <br />Bill Kerns attended the visitation for a former Project Lifesaver client who recently <br />passed away. Bob Parrott also attended the funeral. <br />9 <br />
