March 23, <br />7. Consideration of Resolution appointing volunteers to Advisory Commissions. ReportNo. <br />10-081. Resolution No. 10-024. <br />City Manager Lotter reported Council has made the following appointments to Advisory Commissions; <br />Parks, Recreation & Environmental Commission -Jeanne Frischman, Denise Jacobsen & Brian Sttub. <br />Public Safety Commission, -Becky Kroll & Hugh Bredenbeck. Civil Service Commission -Ory Kraus. <br />Councilmember Phillips reported Joel Norton would serve as Chairperson on the Parks, Recreation & <br />Environmental commission. <br />Motion by Councilmember Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve the <br />resolution appointing volunteers to Advisory Commission. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />8. Approve Lease with Ramsey County WIC Program at the Family Service Center andR,4K <br />ConstntctionforK-q msionServices. Report No. 10-072. Resolution No. 10-021. Moved <br />from ConsentAgenda.. <br />Councilmember Phil* requested the resolution be amended as follows: Paragraph 6, Item 4 be stricken <br />and replaced with Ramsey County has requested RAK construction as the contractor, and <br />Motion by Councilmember Phillips, seconded by Councilmember Bauman to approve <br />the resolution as amended. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported mediation with the Sergeants Union is scheduled for Thursday, <br />March 25th. Mr. Lotter reported He and the Mayor attended the recent National League of <br />Cities conference in Washington DC. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC met and discussed the NWQ rebranding and the <br />35W corridor. <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Philips reported on the two development projects approved at this evenings <br />'meeting. <br />Mary Bure <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the Totem Park Neighborhood meeting, and <br />encouraged residents to attend the last of four meetings at Freedom Park. <br />2010 Page 6 of 7 <br />7.
