Suite #6 APPLICAMf: Allen I.= REQUEST & BACKGROUND The applicant is requesting a Special Use Parrott to pemtil operation of a motorized scooter sale, lease, and repair business at 833 3`a ST SW, Suite #6 (fin southerly suite). Any type of vehicle sales requires review and approval of a Special Use Permit within the industrial district. The decant space is approximately 2,400 SF. The applicants proposed business includes leasing and the sale of new and used gas operated, electric, and hybrid moped scooters ranging from 50cc b 300ce in size. Seasonally, up to T scooters woWd be displayed outdoors during business hours. Lastly, the applicant will provide scooter repair services on site and during non -business hours nothing will be stored contacts. Staff has met with the applicant regarding this use said has indicated no similar use exists v itlsin the City. This is important as it is rut filly understood what issues may be of comcem related to this business. Staff has also inquired about the applicant's intent to obtain a dealers license to sell new and used senators. The applicant has been informed by be state they would issue the exact same license fm sounders as woWd be issued fa vehicles. Knowing this, any approved of a Special Use permit should be strictly conditioned limiting the business to moped senators ranging from SOce to 300x. Staff has communicated this intend to the applicant who is in agreement to a tightly conditioned Special Use Pecan. Lastly, the applicant has been wtbrmed of Building Cade requirements that will be imposed related to the repair function of the buswess.
