PLANNkNC REPORT <br />DATE: Jane 10, 2010 <br />CAsir: SP2010-005 <br />SUBJECT: Special Use Permit to Allow Concoction of a Detached Geroge in Excess <br />of 624 SF At 1,056 SF <br />APPLICANT: Jeff Van Der Well <br />REQUEST&BACKGROUND <br />The applicant is requesting a Special Use Permit to allow communion of a 24' x 44' detached <br />garage. The garage would be boosted in the backyard, which is the southeast aide of the property, <br />and would be setback 50' from the lake and 5' from the side be line. All other sedreeks on site <br />are conforming. The square footage of the detached garage would total 1,056 SF with anything <br />over 624 SF requiring a Special Use Permit, There is an existing shed on the property that would <br />be removed mM there are no other detached buildings on the property. <br />The applicant has previously contacted City staff in balance about building a detached grange. <br />When advised of the Special Use Permit requirement if 624 SF is exceeded, the applicant had <br />decided that at that time he would consider two accessory structures, both under 624 Sr. The <br />applicant never proceeded in consructing two buildings and has submitted all the necessary <br />materials to process a Special Use Pemdt for a 1,056 SP building. Zoning Code Section 4-530 <br />allows construction of a single detached building ova 642 SF but not to exceed 1,064 SF.
