Best wishes were extended to all graduates. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen attended the PREC meeting in June in order to assign some work Council would <br />like to see Parks and Recreation work on. Mayor Jacobsen agreed the Silver Lake Road trail <br />crossing is dangerous, and while not in our jurisdiction the City will contact the County to allow <br />residents to voice their concerns. Mayor Jacobsen attended the rhubarb festival at Long Lake <br />Park the prior weekend. <br />Mary Bure <br />Councilmember Burg attended the PREC meeting June 2nd, along with Mayor Jacobsen. <br />The trails committee reported the state of Minnesota passed a law that pedestrians and bicyclists <br />are included in any new street designs. A Public Hearing was held regarding the Storm water <br />Pollution Prevention Plan, video presentation is available via the City's website. It was reported <br />the trouble at the skate park at Freedom Park continues to decline. There will be a July meeting <br />in order to discuss various service levels in the parks, due to budget cutbacks. Residents were <br />reminded to be watchful as school is dismissed for the summer. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported Public Safety is investigating both a serious bicycle <br />accident and a recent shooting in the Oak Grove community. The next Public Safety <br />' Commission meeting will be June 30d. <br />
